Free Rodeo, May 29 & 30

Bring your family out for a free day at the rodeo! The Colorado Professional Rodeo Association along with the Rodeo News is sponsoring a rodeo over Memorial Day weekend at the Colorado State University Equine Center, Fort Collins, Colo. The two-day rodeo will consist of bull riding, barrel racing, saddle bronc riding, bareback riding, team roping, tie down roping, steer wrestling, and breakaway roping.

The rodeo starts Saturday, May 29 at 5 pm and Sunday, May 30 at 1 pm, after a Cowboy Church service at 11. Visit the Rodeo News website or call 419-4747. Rodeo News is also starting Facebook community page.

"The rodeo came about after a trip to a Loveland fourth grade class," said organizer, Siri Stevens, publisher of Rodeo News. "I realized that the only thing the class knew about rodeo was bull riding. I hope this rodeo will help educate the community about the great sport of rodeo and all the different events there are. There will be a mechanical bull and lots of cowboys to interact with the public."
