Carbon-Friendly Fourteeners: Biking and Hiking Colorado's Peaks

Last July, Boulderite Bart Miller left his home in south Boulder on his bike, with his Bob trailer in tow. He then traveled around the state and climbed 53 of the 54 Colorado Fourteeners in the span of about seven weeks --reaching all the trailheads by bike!

On July 23, Bart will present slides, stories, and lessons learned from his adventure at the Boulder REI store, located at 1789 28th St. The event will begin at 7pm.

Bart's presentation will include photos of peaks, friends, plants and animals, and the benefits and drawbacks from low-carbon peak-bagging. He will also cover the "how-to" details including gear, training, trip planning and execution. A representative from the Colorado Fourteeners Initiative may be present to answer any questions about the 14ers and to offer information about volunteering.
